I discovered za'atar bread in May 2015 when I visited my friend, Dave, in Cleveland and we tried some bites from a Mediterranean food stall at the historic West Side Market.  Instant love for za'atar!  When I arrived home, I immediately ordered za'atar spice and began to experiment with the chewy, olive-oily, seedy, fragrant bread.  It took almost the whole month of June, but finally I re-created the flavors and texture, and I took this selfie to commemorate the occasion!
